How to Order a Commission

From painting people’s treasured pets to places with great meaning for clients such as a French wedding chateau, The Tyne Bridges, Victoria Falls, or their favourite pub, these commissions have been requested for a variety of reasons. They make great wedding and anniversary gifts, birthday presents, retirement gifts, housewarming presents. A memento of a favourite place or treasured pet, or simply as a finishing touch for a room or office.

Louise can also assist you with ideas if you are looking to have a bespoke painting created to give as a gift. Gift Vouchers are available if you’d prefer your recipient to choose the theme and style of painting themselves.
How the commission process works:
you get an initial consultation with Louise, via Zoom, FaceTime or phone. If you are local to Louise it may be possible to arrange a home visit; or meet her in her art studio in Haughton, Cheshire. UK.
together we will discuss and agree on a plan for the painting including the theme, size, your budget, and the deadline for completion.
the agreed plan will form the basis of a simple one-page commission agreement that we both sign and retain a copy of.
a 50% non-refundable deposit has to be paid before your painting is started. The balance is due on local pickup or before the painting has shipped.
if you wish, you are kept informed during the whole process as the painting evolves., or you can choose to wait for the reveal.
when the painting is complete the finished commission will be revealed to you
if shipped, it will be special delivery, so both parties can track its journey.
Commissions come in two sizes:
A4 8″ x 11.5″ £330 sterling ($420 USD)
A3 11.5″ x 16.5″ – £420 sterling ($525 USD)
Plus postage & packaging if not collected in person from Louise.
